Camping at the Cape Lookout

We went to the Oregon Coast and camped at Cape Lookout this weekend. We had fun, although like all camping trips we take it was crazy. While driving to the campground we saw this amazing cloud in the sky. It was like a little mini rainbow. As we drove a little farther we saw an owl in the road. Neither of us have ever seen an owl in the wild. It was huge, it would've come up to Dan's knee if he stood by it. It flew into a tree by the road and we got to look at it for a while.
I took this picture of the sun, I loved the way the sun is all cut into around the edges by the clouds.

We went to the beach and there were bugs EVERYWHERE so we only stayed for a few minutes, but Makyra was so cute in her little swimming suit:

Makyra got knocked down by a big wave and did a somersault under the water. She still has sand in her hair from the experience.
We saw so many amazing sights this trip. There were trees that were completely uprooted and you could see the entire root system. The moon was beautiful and you didn't need a flashlight while taking a walk.
We cooked muffins in oranges in the campfire, along with pizza and yummy smores. All in all, it was a good trip and we will remember it for a long time. We are looking forward to many more this summer.
